BREAKING NEWS – Mahwah, New Jersey – The administration at Ramapo College deemed a barbecue’s “American” theme and advertising too offensive, according to the event’s organizers. The College Republicans and College Democrats to co-sponsor an “American-themed” barbecue that would encourage students to register to vote in the general election. In an email to College Republicans President Taylor Gilson obtained by Campus Reform, the school’s administration felt the “American” theme was “considered offensive” and too “military and recruitment-oriented.” Infighting also began within the democratic students because some of them who were also members of PETA objected to the barbecue which consisted of ribs, sausage, and chicken, while the black democrats demanded that there was no changes at all to the menu.
