BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – The Congressional Black Caucus wrote a letter to the NFL Super Bowl Champions Baltimore Ravens, requesting that they immediately change the name of their team. They explained that they are offended, because a raven is a black bird that’s often associated with evil. When the CBC was informed that the Ravens were named after the famous poem by Edgar Allen Poe, they were even more outraged. They said that the word “poe” is slang for the word “poor”, and is insulting to African-Americans that live in the inner city and or low income housing.
