The ancient inscription is the earliest alphabetical written text ever found in Jerusalem, according to researchers from Hebrew University who discovered the artifact. They believe that it is something comparable to an ancient keg of beer, and they do not have all of the letters on the top of the jar. So far they have translated the ancient letters of the partial word to, “B-U-D-W-E-I-S”.
