BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – The allows Texas to enforce their new voter ID law during the November election, sparking mixed reaction. In a rare weekend announcement, a majority of the high court’s justices rejected an emergency request from the Justice Department and civil rights groups to prohibit Texas from requiring voters to produce certain forms of photo ID to cast ballots. Republicans in the Lone Star state have proclaimed that they are pleased that the Supreme Court has agreed to allow the Texas’ voter ID law to remain in effect. And the democrats opposed the law citing that it is blatantly discriminatory against Latinos who have recently crossed the southern border illegally, and have been too busy to apply for citizenship.
