BREAKING NEWS – Miami, Florida – Moments after the conclusion of a fantastic Miami Beach Bowl, a 55-48 double-overtime win by Memphis over BYU, a celebration turned into a melee with both teams engaging in a brawl that included dozens of players. According to one of the referees, the fight broke after the game when one of the Memphis players called BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall a “polygamist”. BYU players later stated during the preliminary investigation, that they felt that the comment was disrespectful to BYU, the state of Utah, and to all 27 of the Mendenhall’s wives.
