BREAKING NEWS – Denver, Colorado – Denver mayoral candidate Jamie Giellis stumbled badly when asked on a live Facebook program what “NAACP” stands for. She was being interviewed on “The Brother Jeff Show,” which focuses on African-American issues. Off camera, a man asked her what the acronym means. “To be honest, I’m not sure,” began Giellis, “but I recall seeing those particular letters every year during March Madness, so I know it has something to do with college basketball. But I do know that the black guys will grab that ball and shoot that ball. They are some real high jumpers.” Looking surprised and confused, the host of the program Shay J., then asked her how she felt about African-Americans involved in BLM. “I personally do not know anyone that works at the Bureau of Land Management of any race,” she explained. “But I am sure that any black people working there, are doing a fine job.”
