BREAKING NEWS – St. Louis, Missouri – A salacious portion of a Missouri high school yearbook is drawing backlash from some parents by mentioning sex, drugs, and partying by students.
“There is a time and a place for everything and for a high school yearbook to glamorize casual sex, illegal drug and alcohol use is completely inappropriate,” said Michelle Westerfield, a mother who lives in the area outside St. Louis and lives near the school district.
The Kirkwood School District said in a statement, “This is a clear case of parents being nosy, and trying to pry into the private sex lives of their children who just happened to be young teenagers. We also believe that parents should have no say in their kid’s illegal drug choice, unless there are clear signs of a sustained addiction that lasts a minimum of three consecutive semesters.”
