BREAKING NEWS – Springfield, Illinois – Gov. J. B. Pritzker last month signed into law a bill allowing non-U.S. citizens in Illinois to become police. The measure, which goes into effect on Jan. 1, states that “an individual who is not a citizen but is legally authorized to work in the United States is authorized to apply for the position of police officers.”
“It makes sense to me,” explained Pritzker. “The ones who are in this country illegally, get preference when applying for the job to be a cop. Because if they knew how to evade law enforcement to get here, then they know what to look for in regards to people who are flagrant violating our laws… or something like that.”
