BREAKING NEWS – Chicago, Illinois – On Wednesday, Feb. 28, Chicago marked only the seventh day in the last five years with no shootings, police department crime statistics shows.
“Since Jan. 1, 2019, 17,891 people have been shot in Chicago, including 3,148 fatal shooting victims and 14,743 nonfatal shooting victims,” according a Chicago Police Department dashboard. The police stated that they were happy that no one got shot, however they said on the same day, the number of people getting pistol whipped set a new citywide record.
