U.S. & World History – Malcolm X was an admired, revered, and a feared human rights activist of the 1960’s. He is also one of the most misquoted people of that time too. A little known fact is that during the time he was politically active, he also worked part time at KFC. He once made a statement while cooking at his job that the press misunderstood and attributed it to a political reference, when what he really said was, “the chickens have come home to roast”.
