BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – “Late Show” host David Letterman announced his plans to retire “sometime next year,” during a taping of his show, CBS News announced on Twitter. He was very emotional as he fought back tears when he told his audience that his decision was based on the recommendation of his personal psychiatrist. Letterman explained by saying that after Jimmy Fallon took over the “Tonight Show” and is trouncing him in the ratings just like Jay Leno did for 20 years, it was suggested to him to call it quits which hopefully will end his newly intensified thoughts of suicide.
