BREAKING NEWS – Atlanta, Georgia – A 7.5-ounce can of Coca-Cola, is posed next to the traditional 12-ounce can. After watching Americans suck down Big Gulps for decades, Coke is now realizing that less could be more. The goal is to offset falling consumption with packages that cost more per ounce and are appealing for their novelty and portion control. Yet soda consumption has declined persistently in recent years, with public health officials blaming it for making people fat and calling for special taxes and even warning labels on cans. Muhtar Kent is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Coca-Cola Company said in a part in a press release that, “the price of a can of Coke will not change even though there will be going from 12 to 7.5 ounces. Our trademark is one of the most recognizable in the world, which means we will always have customers. In other words as I have informed our investors, we got these suckers right where we want’em!”
