BREAKING NEWS – Guangzhou, China – In an ethically charged first, a 16-person scientific team, based at the Sun Yat-Sen University Chinese researchers have used gene editing to modify human embryos obtained from an in vitro fertilization clinic. After they revealed last month that it had used a new laboratory technique to alter a gene in human embryos, it set off an urgent debate over the ethics — and wisdom — of tinkering with the most basic building blocks of life. The group of scientists said their ultimate goal is to alter exclusively human embryos in America, that will prevent them from complaining about lead in toys, and to stop whining about no matter how much Chinese food they eat in one sitting, they only feel full for an hour, if not less.
