BREAKING NEWS – Detroit, Michigan – Michigan Democrats censure state representative for thanking President Trump. Karen Whitsett says she’s paying a political price for expressing her gratitude.
Whitsett had thanked Trump and Pence because she attributed her recovery from the coronavirus to having taken the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine — a treatment Trump has frequently supported during White House news briefings.
A group called the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party Organization will consider censuring Whitsett when it meets Saturday, The Detroit News reported. “She completely mishandled the situation,” the group explained. “The congresswoman should’ve been condemning the President for every action he has taken regarding the corona virus, even if he did something that benefits anyone, including herself. The proper thing for Whitsett to do, was to look as sickly as possible as if she was near death, and to curse Donald Trump as she appeared to be breathing her last breath. She didn’t follow the current democratic protocol, and for her reckless behavior, she must be severely disciplined!”
