BREAKING NEWS – Borger, Texas – A married Texas police chief was arrested last week for allegedly forging an annulment document to mislead his mistress, to whom he was secretly engaged at the time.
Jason Collier, 41, was taken into custody Jan. 28 after the Hutchinson County District Attorney’s Office launched a criminal investigation into the former police chief, ordained minister, and father of four. He has been charged with tampering with a government document with an intent to defraud.
Collier’s elaborate scheme to hide his multiple secret lives was exposed when one of his reported fiancées tried to verify his forged annulment document and discovered he was dating another woman who he planned to marry, all while he remained married to his wife.
He commented at his arraignment to the judge. “I was arrested by the police and I’m an ordained minister,” he explained in court. “I assumed the cops and God would look out for me in regard to my double life. It turns that neither of them had my back, now I don’t trust anybody.”
