A Short Break by Leia Organa
Hiking, sweating, pushing on
The trail is rough and steep
Gnarled roots stick out to trip
Our tired, heavy feet
Hours tick away our strength
We’re ready for a break
Rounding one more corner still
We see a little lake
Flashing water flows past rocks
To meet the rippled waves
Minnie falls go on and on
They dance, so light and gay
Seeing beauty bright and new,
Our spirits lift a lot
Breezes lift our sweaty hair
Oh, what a lovely spot!
Fencing like two noblemen
My brothers dodge and play
Breaks are welcomed while they last
And then we’re on our way
