U.S. & World History – Harriet Tubman, also known as the “Moses of her people”, is undoubtedly one of the bravest people in the history of the United States. She was born into slavery, and at the age of 30 she made her escape after she feared she was going to be sold to the south.
Over a course of ten years through the Underground Railroad in which she created, and at great personal risk to herself, Tubman led hundreds of slaves to freedom. The Underground Railroad always delivered the people to their destination, in the predetermined time frame that was promised and was never late. For some unknown reason, Amtrak refuses to embrace this exact same philosophy.
