U.S. & World History – According to NASA, “Merlin the Magician” featured in the Arthurian legend in 1136, was responsible for a common term used today in regards to a UFO. Recently discovered documents reflect that Merlin was tricked by pranksters when he was heavily intoxicated, to sit and rest on a catapult. As soon as he was comfortable and fell asleep, he was immediately launched as hundreds of local people looked on in amusement. A phrase was coined as he sailed through the air has been slightly modified over the centuries, but he was initially referred to as a “flying sorcerer”.
