U.S. & World History – A little known fact in the entertainment industry is, a certain genre of music got it’s title from two doctors that were also amateur musicians in the early 1970’s. As they both were studying a human skeleton on the fourth floor of a hospital, one of them accidentally bumped into it, and the mid-section of it fell out of a window. When they looked outside, to their surprise, the bone did not shatter, but instead landed on a trampoline. The doctors were fascinated by the way it rhythmically bounced, and later played their instruments to the same beat as they saw the “hip” hop.
