U.S. & World History – The Titanic sank on April 15th, 1912, on it’s maiden voyage from England to New York. It went down after hitting an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean and 1513 people lost their lives. Moments before the ship disappeared under the waves, Captain Smith turned to his crew, who were horrified at their imminent death and said, “Look at the bright side men. Even if we survived, who’d hire us?”
