BREAKING NEWS – Berkeley, California – The University of California, Berkeley is likely to once again be the site of brutal protests on Thursday as questions arise about whether the city’s mayor has ties to an extremist group sparking violence. The uproar is about conservative speaker Ann Coulter’s planned speech. Mayor Jesse Arreguin, has been accused of supporting left-wing violence because he is a member of the Facebook group of By Any Means Necessary, or BAMN, a far-left group that has incited violent protests across the country. Arreguin responded to the accusations in writing by stating in part, “I have no intention of disrupting the plans of the students at Berkeley that opposes Ann Coulter. For me to attempt to stop them, is to deny that university’s long running tradition of forming lynch mobs.”
