BREAKING NEWS – Dublin, Ireland – The Catholic archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin has removed trainee priests from Ireland’s largest seminary over allegations of widespread use of the gay sex app Grindr. The move is the latest scandal to hit the Catholic Church in Ireland, once the defining influence on public life, but now humbled by reports of child sex abuse stretching back decades and of church leaders’ complicity in covering them up. Martin stated to a reporter, “There is a silver lining in this recent embarrassing cloud. The fact that we have so many priests in training that are using the gay dating app Grindr, proves to me that they are turning away from pedophilia, and are now focusing on consenting grown men. That’s moral progress… I think.”
