BREAKING NEWS – Sacramento, California – A northern California bakery receives backlash over creating a transgender Ken doll cake. The Ken doll made by Freeport Bakery wore a pink dress made of frosting, a sash, a tiara and some jewelry. Co-owner Marlene Goetzeler posted the creation on the bakery’s Facebook page and was immediately hit with negative comments. She said she finally destroyed the cake, and cancelled her plans to make a Barbie doll transgender cake, which would’ve been a muscle bound female wearing no make-up, a five-o’clock shadow, and sporting a vanilla icing Mohawk.
