BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – When New Yorkers woke on Tuesday morning were greeted by the sight of two large white flags in place of the stars and stripes that normally fly over the landmark Brooklyn Bridge. The news quickly became a national story, with more than 30,000 bridge-related posts on Twitter speculating about the meaning of the act and the parties responsible. Theories have been rampant on who and why the white flag was raised, with some of the possible culprits including pranksters trying to get a few laughs, to members of President Obama’s Cabinet that he ordered to commit the act as a signal to Russia his genuine fear of Vladimir Putin regarding the ongoing Ukraine crisis.
