She still has not responded to her critics as she continues to use a fake Southern accent when she’s in that region country, in an attempt to be more relatable. She later apologized to African-Americans for saying that she had just as much admiration for Jefferson Davis the President of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War, as she did for Abraham Lincoln. But she refused to apologize for touring South Carolina barefoot, and answering questions at town hall meetings while playing a banjo.
