BREAKING NEWS – Cambridge, Massachusetts – A liberal-led push to overhaul the Electoral College could be moving from the op-ed pages to the courtroom, as a Harvard professor who flirted with a dark-horse Democratic presidential bid last year vows litigation to change the system. Professor Lawrence Lessig explained it this way. “Large states that are sparsely populated like Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota, and Alaska are really irrelevant because they don’t contribute much to this country,” he began. “That also applies to all of the New England states, excluding this one, Massachusetts, because we have an important Ivy League school. If we abandon the Electoral College, all of the worthless states can finally accept who they are, and the voters in those specific places can stay home on election day to cheer on the only two states that really matter, California and New York. I teach at Harvard, so I obviously know what I’m talkin’ about.”
