BREAKING NEWS – Wedge Island, Australia – The world’s oldest message in a bottle has been discovered on a beach in Western Australia almost 132 years after it was thrown into the ocean. The mysterious bottle in Australia was half-buried in sand when it was discovered by Tonya Illman just north of Wedge Island, 112 miles north of Perth. Mrs. Illman took the note home and dried it out. Her husband Kym researched the find and discovered that the form was dated June 12, 1886. The message was written back then from a man who was fishing with his wife. It read:

“My spouse told me that putting a message in a bottle is a very inefficient way to communicate information. She seems frustrated, as she tries to come up with a better idea, while staring at the fish ‘in her net.’”
