BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., appeared on “The Ingraham Angle” to discuss being shut out of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) as well as the contentious exchange he had with a CNN anchor.
Donalds appeared on the liberal network to discuss the stonewalling from the CBC, which has yet to welcome the freshman GOP lawmaker into the group despite his vocal interest in joining. The CBC currently does not have any Republican members.
However, “New Day” anchor Brianna Keilar spent much of the interview fixating on his past comments about black-on-black crime.
“Maybe the CBC doesn’t want you there because you want to discuss black-on-black crime,” she began. “Why won’t you simply embrace their position that black people are very violent toward each other, due to their anger about slavery 150 years ago, and that rage has to be released. The CBC as well as I, believe that black people should never be charged with committing a violent crime, but instead charge the white people that him/her that way. I have always been and always will be afraid to be around a large group of black people, yet I am respect and mindful enough not to say anything, that I know can easily set them off. You can learn a lot about black people if you listened to me.”
