BREAKING NEWS – Pyeongchang, South Korea – South Korea on Wednesday approved a plan to pay North Korea’s Olympic expenses to the tune of approximately $2.6 million, the Korea Herald reported. Officials in South Korea suggested the move, which will cover the costs of hundreds of performers who arrived in PyeongChang as part of the North’s delegation. The Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon stated, “The North Koreans are so freakin’ hungry. It’s really sad. Before they arrived here in South Korea, most of them hadn’t eaten in days. So to pay for their expenses is a humanitarian gesture, and hopefully while in this country, it will stop them from carrying steak knives, looking for stray dogs.”
