Dear Blake,
I have seen on the news, and on the Discovery Channel that a giant asteroid is eventually going to hit the earth. Where is a safe place to live, if or when that happens?

Dear Maurice,
Your concern is shared by millions of people across the planet, who also want to know where is the safest place to be. If you live in the United States when the asteroid hits and you happen to live near the point of impact, you’ll be killed by the explosion, if not incinerated from the heat of the blast. You can also lose your life from the shock waves or crushed in the earthquake it creates. Either way the it’ll kick up enough dust to block the sun worldwide for an indefinite amount of time, which means all crops will die, and ultimately all humans will starve to death and may even have to resort to cannibalism to survive. If you live in Europe when the asteroid hits and you happen to live near the point of impact, you’ll be killed by the explosion, if not incinerated from the heat of the blast. If you live in Asia when the asteroid hits and you happen to live near the point of impact, you’ll be killed by the explosion, if not incinerated of the heat from the blast. If you live in Africa when the asteroid hits…
