Dear Blake,
I have a boyfriend over in Afghanistan, and I’m trying to decide if I want to end the relationship. I told him to sign up for the Air Force but instead, he went into the Army. I demanded that he go in as an officer, but instead he went in non-commissioned. I ordered him to remain in the United States, but instead he volunteered for overseas. I think it’s time that I unload him. Don’t you agree?
Signed, Amber

Dear Amber,
First of all I would like to say that I salute your boyfriend for his commitment to the military. And because of your authoritative drill sergeant mindset, I’m glad he “marched” right out of your life. In case you didn’t know it, a romantic evening should not have any hints of boot camp. I have a sneaking suspicion that your boyfriend didn’t join the Army because he’s patriotic. However, I can see why he wanted to go into combat instead being around you… it’s quieter. I hope this helps.
