Dear Blake,
I have an ongoing problem that I can’t seem to resolve. My parents doesn’t like any of my three kids. Their ages are 9, 11, and 13. I will admit at times they are really disrespectful toward their grandparents, and they have accidentally broken a few things in their house, including an expensive antique vase. But I maintain that we are family, and young kids can be energetic, so it’s no big deal. What do you think?

Dear Rosie,
Grandparents and grandchildren typically have a very loving relationship. However the current dynamics in your situation is the sole fault of those ghouls that you chose to bring into existence. I notice that you didn’t mention that you had a husband. Is it he can’t stand the sight of his own kids, or has overwhelming guilt of what he co-created prompted him to skip town? My guess is there’s nothing in your house that an interior decorator would consider desirable, due to the ongoing destruction and damage caused by your three hooligans. However, there is a positive side to the behavior of your offspring, because I think in time they will be known nationwide which would make them celebrities… sort of.. This will happen while you’re being filmed talking to them on the phone being separated by a glass divider, after they were profiled on CNN by Nancy Grace. I hope this helps.
