Dear Blake,
I am falling in love with my close male friend. Should I tell him?

Dear Kimberly,
This is a common occurrence with woman. Hopefully you’re not stupid enough to tell him how you feel. Now think about it. The way we men are hard-wired, if we find a woman that we’re attracted to, we’ll let them know. It is probably something about you that turns him off to the point that it makes his stomach churn. It could be that you’re not very intelligent, because if you were, you wouldn’t be writing me, contemplating doing something so idiotic, that will make your friend even more physically ill. Men are very visual, so he might find you are too tall, too short, too fat, or too skinny. More than likely, he already has an exhaustive mental list of your flaws, and he regularly thinks about trying to find some guy that he can unload you on, just to get you out of his life. On the other hand, he may fallen in love with you, and you two will eventually walk down the aisle with a storybook ending and live happily ever after. BTW, I said all that other stuff because I recently found out that was the exact way my ex-wife thought about me, and I was channeling my bitterness on you. Thanks for being my emotional punching bag, and please don’t hesitate not to write me again. I hope this helps.
Blake
