Dear Blake,

I have been on Facebook for almost a year and I have maxed out the friends limit at 5000. I have decided that I want to reduce the amount considerably. In order to do this, I want to keep my real friends, and get rid of the rest, but I’m not sure how to make that determination. Can you give me some suggestions?

Signed, Nanette

Dear Nanette,

Facebook, is one of the most popular forms of communication worldwide. It’s also has the largest collection of losers on the entire planet. Here is a simple test to determine who is who. Tell all 5000 “friends” something about you which is embarrassingly personal, that you would never want made public. Your fake friends will tell at least 1000 people on Facebook, while your true friends will only tell about 250. Your fake friends are constantly trying to get you to purchase a product that they’re selling, while your true friends are trying to help you make some cash by inviting you to participate in one of many internet scams. Fake friends that you have never physically met before will also try to get you to lend them some money, while real self-respecting friends would never make such an outlandish request. BTW, could you loan me $2200.00? Something unexpected came up and I want you to help me out of a bind. I am an honest person and I would never rip you off. I’ll pay you back as soon as I get my 2019 tax refund. I hope this helps.

Blake
