Dear Blake,
I am a very wealthy middle-age man and very well known here in Tinseltown. My problem is, when I date a woman, I don’t know if she’s really interested in me or my money. The uncertainty in my relationships keeps me leery and frustrated. What do you think?

I genuinely admire your business success and the financial rewards that came with it. But seeing that you live in a town that’s full of phonies, fakes, and freaks, your concerns are justified. I also feel comfortable stating that because of your success, more than likely you have been reduced to being a shallow man in an empty suit, unless you were that way before you slinked to the top of the entertainment ladder. On the other hand, you might be physically desirable in the opinion of these women. And if you’re consistent with the culture out there, you do your best to maintain your youth with monthly Botox injections and/or annual facelifts. However, if you really want to know if a woman you’re involved with is not in it just for the money, give her everything you own. After a year or so, if she still has a twinkle in her eyes when she sees you crawling to her from the homeless shelter that you’ll be living in, wearing raggedy smelly clothes that were given to you from the town drunk, then in my opinion love is in the air. I hope this helps.
