BREAKING NEWS – Oxon Hill, Maryland – Snigdha Nandipati of San Diego, takes first place in the 2012 Scripps National Spelling Bee. This was the 5th consecutive Indian-American that has taken the top prize. According to the officials at Scripps, they are now considering lowering the standards next year, so U. S. born children that have attended public schools will have a more favorable chance of winning.
