BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – The ACLU states that they strongly back the Journal-News, for publishing a map of the names and addresses of gun owners that live in the New York suburbs of Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam counties. The explanation given by the ACLU for siding with the small local newspaper, was that killers and thieves are people too, and they should be given an opportunity to make informed decisions to minimize violent confrontations with gun owners as they select a house to rob. They concluded by saying that the address list gives criminals essential data, so they can focus more on peaceful victims that don’t own any firearms, thus avoiding being subjected to deadly force during one of their innocent home invasions.
