BREAKING NEWS- Springfield, Illinois – Lawmakers in Illinois have sued Governor Pat Quinn, who threw down the glove by canceling their paychecks unless and until they came up with a solution to the state’s $100 billion in unfunded pension liability. House and senate leaders filed the lawsuit contending that it is an unconstitutional violation of the separation of powers for him to eliminate their salaries through his line-item veto. Quinn responded by saying that he rejects their legal argument, but he is glad that they filed a lawsuit, because it proves that if put under enough pressure, “These lazy pathetic election buying crooks can muster enough energy to accomplish something, and I’m glad that they quickly realize that their lifestyles can’t be sustained on under the table kickbacks alone”.
