BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Al Sharpton reflects on the first time he saw racism first hand. He said back in 1971, James Brown was blatantly discriminated against, when he was denied a lead role in a major motion picture in Hollywood. Sharpton explained that the “Godfather of Soul” should have been given the role by virtue of his nickname alone, but instead “those bigiots” gave the part to a mediocre actor named Marlon Brando to play Don Corleone.
