BREAKING NEWS – Herndon, Virginia – Airbus recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of what many call the world’s strangest looking plane for it whale-like hump. The European plane maker created the Beluga fleet—named for its white whale shaped head and massive size—to transport wings, fuselages and other pre-built plane parts manufactured in several factories. It was created to transport people that were obese and self-conscious about their weight. All of the flight attendants tipped the scale at 300 pounds or more, and served the passengers exclusively fast foods from popular franchises. The company has also had financial problems stemming from the necessity to be refueled in flight, because once the passengers had boarded, the plane was so heavy, that by the time it got off the ground it was almost out of gas.
