BREAKING NEWS – Los Angeles, California – Attorney and activist Sandra Fluke has lost her bid for a seat in the California state Senate. She captured the national spotlight in 2012 while in college, when she testified at a hearing on the Affordable Care Act’s birth control mandate, arguing that the federal government should pay for her birth control pills. After investing her own money trying to get elected and being rejected by voters in a landslide, Fluke stated that she planned on going back to Washington D.C. in the very near future to testify again. She explained that because her intentions were noble, she wants to testify before Congress to argue that the federal government should be reimburse her for all costs related to her campaign, including travel expenses, tv ads, and legal fees for her upcoming lawsuit against everyone that convinced her that she isn’t an idiot and should run for office.
