BREAKING NEWS – Los Angeles, California – George Clooney was wracked by a monumental sense of failure after his latest outing as a director. New leaked Sony emails show Clooney was torn up over bad reviews of “The Monuments Men,” his World War II drama about an Allied platoon out to pluck priceless pieces of art from Hitler’s grasp. On Jan. 29, Clooney emailed Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal, subject line “it’s getting worse,” to say that he needed “protection from all the reviews,” The Daily Beast reported. He concluded by saying “That as I continue to age, my appeal as a leading man continues to diminish. And I better start staying behind the camera because I have a feeling my films are going to become increasingly ridiculous, gravitating to the level of Spike Lee.”
