BREAKING NEWS – Cape Hatteras, North Carolina – A 37-year-old South Carolina man was rescued Thursday after spending more than two months alone in a sailboat at sea, where he initially said he lived off of fish and rainwater. Skeptics are now beginning to doubt his story. The crew of the Houston Express, a German-flagged ship, reported to the Coast Guard that they found Louis Jordan and his sailboat Angel around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, approximately 200 miles east of Cape Hatteras N.C. Jordan, who was in remarkable health considering his situation. An unnamed member of the Coast Guard said Jordan told him that he survived by not panicking, navigating by the stars at night, and occasionally sneaking onboard passing cruise ships where he ate at buffets, snuck into cabins to shower, and then returned to his small boat to continue rehearsing the story he planned on fabricating upon his rescue.
