James McElvar a member of Scottish boy band Rewind learned this the hard way after collapsing from wearing multiple layers of clothing to avoid paying a 45 pound (about $70) baggage fee, reports BBC. EasyJet’s policy only allows one piece of hand luggage, but McElvar had two, thus he emptied one of them and put on all the clothes. The manager for the group said it was a big misunderstanding. He explained that McElvar was actually high on drugs, and he put on the 12 layers of clothes because he thought it was January, and he believed they were about to perform at an outdoor concert in Siberia.
