BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Hip-hop mogul and animal-rights advocate Russell Simmons is comparing New York’s horse-drawn carriages to slavery and the Holocaust. Simmons urged New York Mayor Bill de Blasio to follow through on his campaign promise to ban the horse carriages. Simmons stated that after he gets this issue resolved, he plans on lobbying to Congress, encouraging them pass a law that no longer allows people to have dogs, other than for pets. He emphatically said that this would include using bloodhounds to track criminals, bomb and drug sniffing canines, and service dogs for blind people which according to Simmons, “shouldn’t be outside alone in the first place.”
