BREAKING NEWS – Jeffreys Bay, South Africa – Three-time world champion surfer Mick Fanning paid tribute to a “warrior” surf buddy who came to his aid as he fought off a shark during a competition airing on live TV. Fanning, 34, was competing against Julian Wilson at South Africa’s J-Bay Open on Sunday when he punched the suspected great white shark after it attempted to pull him underwater by his foot rope. PETA and Greenpeace are are now demanding not only the immediate arrest of Fanning accusing him assaulting the 10 foot maneater in an unprovoked attack, but also violating the “no trespassing” sign that was posted by the great white shark, about 20 feet down on the ocean floor when the two confronted each other. Currently, the police along with realtors, are trying to determine the property lines to figure out who if anyone was at fault.
