BREAKING NEWS – Wheaton, Illinois – Officials at a Chicago Christian college announced that they are moving forward with firing a professor who was placed on leave after asserting that Christians and Muslims worship the same God after putting on a scarf. Larycia Hawkins, who is a Christian and an associate professor of political science at Wheaton College in suburban Chicago, said that her words and actions were demonstrations of her own faith. The Chicago Tribune reports Hawkins said on social media that Christians and Muslims share the same God, despite some differences between the religion. “The only minor difference between the two religions”, Hawkins wrote, “is Christians try to convert people through missionaries, and Muslims do it with missiles. God honors both tactics… I think.”
