BREAKING NEWS – Bristol, Connecticut – “ESPN Magazine” senior writer Howard Bryant argued in his latest column that police officers should not sing the national anthem before sporting events. Bryant explained by saying, “They will never admit it, but the purpose of having cops sing at sporting events, is to melodically remind the black athletes that they can easily get arrested and their careers ruined based on trumped up charges. Also in this country, there is no record of a white professional athlete ever getting arrested or even hassled by the cops, due to an unwritten rule created by the southern states shortly after they lost the Civil War.”
