BREAKING NEWS – Puebla, Mexico – A TV reporter caught on film being rescued from a puddle by townspeople in Mexico was axed for apparently caring more about her fancy shoes than the story she was there to cover. Lydia Cummings, 24, was photographed getting ferried over a flooded street by a man and a woman. The station she works for, Azteca Puebla, got wind of the photo and fired the fashion-conscious reporter, tweeting a statement saying she was disrespectful to the people of the community and will no longer be a part of the Azteca Puebla team. Cummings later stated that it was a big misunderstanding. She said the people carrying had nothing to do with her expensive shoes or flooded streets, but her car wouldn’t start that day and she was having them carry her to work, 25 miles away.
