BREAKING NEWS – Portland, Oregon – An Oregon school district scrutinized after memo ordered bus drivers to stop playing “gangsta” rap music because the lyrics were too violent. Teri Brady, the senior director of transportation in the district, sent a memo to bus drivers in March ordering them to stop playing that genre, and what replaced it on the list of allowable music was opera. After less than a week, that was also removed because Brady was informed that the way the singers sounded in that type of music, it resembled people screaming from getting shot.
